Paul Webster - CHP Company Secretary

Paul is a lawyer in the Department of Health's Private Finance Unit.  The PFU is responsible for supervising and approving the procurement process and on going management of PFI, LIFT and other major capital schemes on behalf of the Department, as well as implementing related government policy.  Since joining the PFU in 2000, Paul has worked on a number of hospital schemes including the largest NHS PFI project, Barts and the London (£1 billion capital value). Paul is currently leading a joint Department/CHP team working on the Express LIFT project which aims to provide a fast track LIFT procurement for those PCTs without a LIFT Company.

Before joining the PFU, Paul worked in private practice advising public and private sector clients on PFI deals in a variety of sectors.
