Building has started on the new Akerman Road Heath Centre, NHS Lambeth's latest scheme to be delivered under the NHS LIFT initiative.
Located on the corner of Akerman and Patmos Roads near Brixton Road and Camberwell Road in the London Borough of Lambeth, the £13 million health centre has been designed by architects Henley Halebrown Rorrison for NHS LIFT developer Building Better Health, NHS Lambeth's private sector partner.
The health centre will provide a range of services, including
three GP surgeries: Foxley Square, Iveagh House and Myatts Field
primary care and community health services and facilities
In addition the centre will also be the base for Lambeth PCT's nursing teams, including School Nurses, Health Visitors and District Nurses, and will also house Lambeth Council Adult Services.
Akerman Road Heath Centre is scheduled to open July 2012.
