Community Health Partnerships (CHP) is delighted to announce the appointment of Bernadette Conroy to its Board as Non-Executive Director. Bernadette will also take the role of Chair for CHPs Property and Asset Committee.
Bernadette brings nearly 20 years of experience working at an executive level within the Financial Services Sector and more recently at a non-executive level in the housing and regeneration, health and education arenas, including seven years as a Non-Executive Director within the NHS.
With a wealth of experience working across the public and private sector, Bernadette’s unique background combines property management and development, finance, healthcare and education.
Alongside her in-depth knowledge of financial and risk management, Bernadette has a comprehensive understanding of the property and urban regeneration sector and healthcare commissioning landscape.
John Bacon, Chair of CHP's Board comments: “We warmly welcome Bernadette to CHP’s Board and look forward to benefiting from her valuable, commercial and strategic expertise.
"Her addition will further strengthen our future direction, particular as we cultivate partnerships across the Health and Housing Sectors and Local Authorities to explore a solution-focussed approach to the planning, use and disposal of the primary healthcare and community estate.”
Bernadette adds: “I have seen first-hand how Community Health Partnerships effectively supports commissioners with the delivery of new models of care; driving greater service integration, improving services for patients and delivering savings and greater efficiencies.
"I am excited to be joining CHP in this new capacity and look forward to helping shape the future delivery of health services and social and community care.”
Bernadette’s recent experience in her current roles as Chair of Audit for Barnet CCG; and Chair of the Housing and Community Regeneration Association - Poplar HARCA, is particularly significant as CHP progresses with work to identify collaborative health and housing opportunities that can be developed using NHS land to drive out inefficiencies from the estate.
Bernadette is also a Trustee at St Paul’s Way Trust School in London and Local Public Sector Director for the Public Private Partnership LIFTCo, North London Estates Partnership.
I am excited to be joining Community Health Partnerships in this new capacity and look forward to helping shape the future delivery of health services and social and community care.Bernadette Conroy
