The event was a huge success, with over 300 delegates. Delegates have benefitted from:
Accessing different viewpoints on integrating community services
Insights into transforming the use and management of infrastructures
Understanding the wider determinants of Value for Money
Fresh ideas on improving sustainability
Sharing knowledge on innovations in delivering services, such as via Social Enterprises
Ben Bradshaw was unable to attend but sent CHP a vote of confidence saying:
'I am delighted to send my very best wishes to the Community Health Partnership Annual Conference. CHP has a key role in taking forward the next stages of the LIFT programme. In the New Year, we will see the development of Express LIFT which will make it quicker and easier for PCT's to use LIFT to develop their primary and social care infrastructure. Suddenly the LIFT programme will become open not just to half the English PCTs, as now, but to all of them. I know that CHP is ready to step up to the plate and offer all the support that PCTs and local authorities might need to fulfil the potential of a programme that is doing so much to build healthier communities.'
CHP's 4th Annual Conference was the opportunity to launch a new publication called 'Firm Foundations for World Class Commissioning'. It is a discussion document relating value for money processes in capital procurements to strategic plans and World Class Commissioning.
We are pleased to announce that the presentations and transcripts are now available here.
