Congratulations to North London Estate Partnerships for their win at the 2013 Partnership Awards on Thursday 23 May, Finchley Memorial Hospital won best designed project.

The new Finchley Memorial Hospital in North London opened its doors to patients on 20th July 2012. North London Estate Partnerships acted as the developer for the £28m LIFT project.

The project included the construction of the entire 9500m2 new building alongside the current hospital with minimal disruption to on-going clinical activity. Phase 2 of the construction consists of the demolition of the current hospital and landscaping the former Bow Lanes playing fields to form the Health Campus.

The Health Campus comprises of two five-a-side football pitches and one full size football pitch, all pitches will be made available to the local community and there are plans for the local primary school “Our Lady of Lourdes” to utilise the sports facilities. The Health Campus was designed to ensure that the patient and visitor experience is of the highest possible quality and also includes a memorial garden and a therapy garden that is utilised by the therapies department.

The new Finchley Memorial Hospital offers a one stop shop for patients with primary care services, a walk in centre, x-ray services, phlebotomy, rehabilitation beds and diagnostic services all being provided in modern day fit for purpose premises.
