Foundation for Life LIFTCo are delighted to announce that the new Leigh Health Centre opened on Monday, 29th November, with services moving in on a phased basis over the following weeks.
The main building construction began last year and the scheme represents an £11m investment in state-of-the-art facilities for primary care and community services.
Services included are:
8 GP practices
Integrated Children's centre
Sexual Health & Reproductive services
Integrated Community and General Dental Services
Specilaist Weight Management Services
Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment & Treatment Service
NHS ALW Chairman, Alan Stephenson, said: on receiving the keys to the new Health Centre: "This is a major health initiative for Leigh and the surrounding area and patients are set to benefit from a fantastic new development of local health services. Anyone who has used the LIFT buildings in other parts of the Borough will know just how good they are and the wide range of services that can be offered to local people from them. The new facility provides yet another local example of a high quality state-of-the-art health centre providing excellent care to patients as well as a modern working environment for staff."
