On Thursday 10th November, over 400 guests gathered in London to celebrate the best in healthcare buildings, products and Estates and Facilities Management. Now in its 13th year, the BBH Awards highlights and helps to spread best practice in healthcare building design, by recognising and celebrating all the best achievers from across the field. It is the biggest healthcare building design event of the year.
Two awards were given to a primary and community care building developed and funded by the Department of Health's Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative, which provides clean, modern, purpose-built premises for health and local authority services in England. Under the initiative.
Baldry Gardens Primary Care Centre, Lambeth, London, won both the Best Community Care Design Award and the Clinicians' Choice Award.
We are particularly delighted with the clinician's recognition of our project" said Fulcrum Infrastructure Group, the private sector partner in Building Better Health - Lambeth Southwark Lewisham (the local LIFT joint venture).
Fulcrum Infrastructure deliver estates efficiency and asset management solutions in partnership with the public sector, and have also delivered over 30 new and refurbished facilities under LIFT across the country.
Baldry Gardens opened to patients in July 2010. As well as GP services, Lambeth Community Health has a presence at the centre, providing baby clinics, nursing, a 'My Action' team, foot health, midwifery and therapy services.
