New Forrest Medical Centre opens in Coventry

The £1.2m Forrest Medical Centre in Canley, Coventry opened to the public on Monday 21st September 2015.

The new building,  developed through Arden Estate Partnerships, combines the services previously offered in Forrest Medical Centre’s main and branch surgeries on to one site, enabling better access to GP and nurse appointments.

Supporting regeneration

The new medical centre supports Coventry City Council’s masterplan for regeneration in the area, and at 750m² over two storeys, the modern purpose built facility and has been efficiently designed to accommodate both the current and regeneration population increase.

George Marsh, Arden Estate Partnerships Chair said “The design of the new health centre has been carefully considered to enable flexibility and efficiency around patient flows and has been designed to facilitate future growth whilst recognising and keeping in line with the Council’s local regeneration plans.

"The new facility will also include a number of cycling facilities for ease of accessibility for patients as well as to promote sustainable travel within the area”.

Arden Estate Partnerships

The centre was development through LIFTCo/Public Private Partnership Arden Estate Partnerships. AEP have already invested over £34 million locally in aid of addressing inequalities in health and social care estate, and the new Forrest Medical Centre is the fifth development within AEPs portfolio.
