Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership and Galliford Try are delighted to announce that Picton Neighbourhood Health & Children's Centre has been nominated for the Community Benefit award at the RICS North West Awards 2009.
The award, won last year by The Gateway, Warrington, honours outstanding achievements in providing community facilities for a single or group of buildings. In this category judges will seek to identify evidence of positive local community feedback, improvements to local landscape/streetscape and high levels of public access to the scheme.
Graham Pink, Chief Executive of Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership said "We are thrilled that the facility at Picton has been recognised for the impact it has had on the local area. The centre has become a central part of the community, and we provide a wide range of services to the local residents, that previously were not provided in the area. The inclusion of the SureStart Children's Centre means that healthcare is now more accessible for parents with young children."
The winners in all 8 categories of the RICS North West Awards 2009 will be announced at the Awards Event on Friday 8 May 2009 in the City of Manchester Stadium.
